A Remote Learning “What to Do – How to Do It” Motherlode of Free Resources for the COVID-19 Shift to Online School

A Remote Learning
“What to Do – How to Do It”
Motherlode of Free Resources
(started 3/25/2020)

In response to the COVID-10 Crisis school migration to remote (online) teaching and learning, providers of digital resources, seemingly unanimously, made a phenomenal effort to reach out to educators everywhere offering access to a very broad range of items to support teachers make the shift.

This outreach effort to offer resources showed up (and continues to do so) in my email In Box. As an observer of the state and trajectory of Education and EdTech, after a few days of this (sorry, I deleted a good deal after absorbing the offers) I decided to “collect” them as a way to better overserve and understand what’s going on.

I think that this tidal wave of offers for free resources reflects a gamut of motivations – some providing organizations, no doubt, have truly been altruistic and others self-serving, seeing this as a business opportunity… and, no doubt, too, everything in between.

What follows are 15 pages of items – these are all actual offers but they are not organized in any way calculated to facilitate choosing from among them. I offer this as my way of relaying an opportunity and demonstrating a ‘tip of the iceberg’ snapshot of a current phenomenon in order to appreciate its scope. Click link below:

P.S. As these items are all taken directly from my email In Box, I assume writing about them is fine with the originating organizations – contact me to remove any of your materials if you feel the need, though.
